What we’re looking for

To maintain exceptional service levels with one of our most important clients, we are looking for an experienced, professional Artwork Manager, with professional-standard client communication skills, an unrivaled eye for detail and quality and a proven record for leading and developing a team of other artworkers.

First and foremost, you will have experience of artworking corporate marketing materials, such as leaflets, brochures and interactive PDFs – with a particular focus on working with large volumes of text in InDesign and following critical brand/style guidelines.

You must also be able to liaise with clients regarding artwork and amendments – on behalf of yourself and others – as well as acting as quality controller for all artwork productions.

Experience of delivering training to other artworkers would be an advantage.

02

What you’ll do

As our Artwork Manager, you’ll work closely with our Design & Production Manager, taking new briefs into the Artwork Team where you will work on them yourself or delegate and oversee to other Artworkers.

You’ll keep in touch with all ‘live’ artwork projects as they move through production, updating the Design & Production Manager accordingly and sometimes liaising with our Creative Director wherever artwork requires critical decision-making.

Quality control will be an integral part of the role and it will be your responsibility to ensure every item goes through QC, whether via yourself or via peer-to-peer reviewing, before proofing to client-side Campaign Managers.

First proof will be delivered by our Design & Production Manager to ensure artwork meets the brief and our clients’ expectations – but from the first set of amendments onwards, it will be your job to coordinate these and all associated client communications until completion.

As part of overseeing our Artworkers and your stewardship of QC, you will monitor our Artworkers to identify and deliver any training requirements, discussing these with our Design & Production Manager for inclusion in Artworker one-to-ones.

What you’ll need

  • Expert-level abilities in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat Professional.
  • A forensic eye for detail and compliant artwork – and the ability to pass this on to other Artworkers.
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Experience in leading, overseeing and training others.
  • A positive, proactive attitude and a solution-finding mindset.
  • Higher level Graphic Design qualification or equivalent.
  • Proven experience of working at a higher level in a creative studio or production environment.
