What we’re looking for

To maintain our motion graphic design offering, we are looking for an experienced, professional Motion Graphic Designer, with professional-standard client communication skills, an unrivalled eye for detail and quality and a proven record for producing creative, commercial motion and graphic design work.

First and foremost, you will have experience of producing corporate marketing animation as well as design assets and materials – with a particular focus on working with critical brand/style guidelines.

With interesting and relevant examples in your portfolio, you’ll demonstrate the ability to interpret briefs accurately, develop original ideas, deliver to deadlines, manage your own time and work well under pressure. You must be confident, good with people, and able to liaise with colleagues, clients and suppliers.

02

What you’ll do

As a Motion Graphic Designer at Spiral, you’ll work closely with our Creative Director in gathering new briefs, developing responsive concepts and associated quotes across motion as well as pure graphic design projects for a wide range of clients.

Once into production, you’ll be responsible for the realisation of the project and all associated client communications. For graphic design projects this will consist of design proofs, amendments and final supply – whereas for motion design projects you will develop scripts and/or storyboards, source and engage with voiceover suppliers, create graphic assets and build animations as well as any associated audio work. Our Creative Director will continue to support you with any critical decision-making throughout your projects.

As with all roles at Spiral, quality control is an integral part of what you do – and you will be responsible for checking everything you produce (either yourself or via peer-to-peer reviewing) to ensure we maintain our trademark high standard.

You’ll coordinate multiple projects and clients and autonomously manage your own time and agile worklist – updating your line director accordingly. You’ll also be required to carry out various pieces of project administration such as booking-in and job bag creation/completion.

03

What you’ll need

  • A passion for motion and graphic design, typography and creativity.
  • Expert-level abilities in Adobe Illustrator, AfterEffects and Photoshop.
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Audition and Acrobat Professional.
  • A forensic eye for detail and brand-compliant design.
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
  • A positive, proactive attitude and a solution-finding mindset.
  • Higher level Graphic Design qualification or equivalent.
  • Proven experience of working at a higher level in a creative studio or production environment.

04
